FAMILY FUN NIGHT POSTPONED
now NEXT Tuesday 27th February
Due to forecasted high winds and rain we have had postpone tomorrow’s Family Fun Night.
KEEPING YOU UPDATED
Indication’s are now that Cyclone Gita will have a major impact on vast parts of the country over the coming days, although it would appear the Southern areas of the country are likely to be worst affected, the exact path is showing that this severe weather event is very unpredictable and will likely affect all of us.
Although it may no longer be called a cyclone when it arrives, there are predicted to be high winds and bring with it damaging rain possibly causing coastal and localised flooding.
This weather event is being monitored by the school and the school has plans in place to deal with this type of event.
Any updates will be sent via school links if required, as well as being on the school website or facebook page.
We would like to invite all students of Conifer Grove School and their families to our Family Fun Night, next Tuesday 20th February, 4.30-6.30pm. Bring along a picnic to enjoy with your family on the field, we will also have ice blocks, drinks and sausage sizzle on sale. Come along and have a fun evening with your kids, there will be lots of games and a water slide to enjoy. If the weather is not kind to us on the 20th we will postpone until the evening of 27th February.
We have completed our lockdown drill and all students, staff and persons on site are safely accounted for. Everyone did extremely well and responded to instructions. A notice will be going out to parents/caregivers tonight to provide some more information about our emergency lockdown procedures.
We will be sending a notice/email out tonight providing information on what has occurred today. I would like to personally thank you for your support while we conduct these practises.
Kind Regards, Raj Dullabh, PRINCIPAL
