Welcome to Conifer Grove School for 2012.
Welcome back everyone with a special welcome to new families to the school and the area. Welcome to Mr Jack Yoon teaching in CS 12 and congratulations to Belinda Cantlon on her upcoming wedding this weekend.
It has been a fantastic start to the school already – students are so energised and enthusiastic and classrooms look great with a high level of student engagement in learning activities already. Thank you to Parents who have prepared their children well to start school by seeing they are punctual and in correct uniform – this includes correct footwear please.
This year we have introduced electronic rolls to record attendance, so it is absolutely important that your child is in the classroom by 9am every day so their attendance can be recorded.
Please take note of upcoming dates and remember to put the interview date on your calendar. The interviews scheduled for 21 February is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher and discuss learning pathways for 2012 and how your child has settled to class expectations and routines.
We started the week with an assembly where we reinforced school values and welcomed new students to the school. This will be followed by a values programme tomorrow and we look forward to your support in encouraging students to practise and demonstrate these. RESPECT, HONESTY, RESPONSIBILITY, CARING, EXCELLENCE
Jan Robertson - Principal
Each child brought home a sheet listing activities and cost for 2012 on Wednesday.
This payment is for take home materials / trips etc for your child for 2012 and needs to be paid before the events take place.
1 child $150
2 children $240
3 children + $300
We offer a 10% discount if payment is made before 31/03/2012
The Board of Trustees understands that a donation is a voluntary payment but unfortunately schools rely on your donations so we can provide all the extras that your children need, for example remedial tuition, specialist ICT, extra programmes and resources that our operational grant does not cover.
By setting up an automatic payment and paying a little each week, we believe these costs are realistic and manageable to assist your child this year. Please contact Sandra Read at the office if you are interested in setting this up.
Payments can be made by: cash, cheque, internet banking or eftpos (at the office).
