Kia ora Whanau,
Our Prime Minister announced yesterday that Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) remains at Alert Level 4 until the 21st September. Whilst this news is disappointing there might be light at the end of the tunnel with cabinet indicating a move to Alert Level 3, in principle.
Conifer Grove school will be open for those students who MUST be at school. At Alert Level 3 the key message from the Ministries of Education and Health is clear. SCHOOL IS CLOSED, except for those children who do not have any alternative supervision – Delta is different.
This means if older siblings (14 years +) are able to supervise – children are to stay home. If parents are working or studying from home – children are to stay home. If you can extend our bubble to include someone who is able to supervise your child, please do so. We are trying to keep our school bubble as small as possible for the safety of teachers, students and their whānau.
We will be sending any further information on bubble organisation nearer the end of this week.
The school admin will remain in communication with our community through our emails, Skool Loop app, School website as further advice is received from the Ministries of Health and Education. The school will be practicing the Ministry of Health guidelines under Alert Level 3.
If you have any worries about your health or the health of your family, please call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 or visit www.COVID-19.govt.nz.
Stay Safe everyone
Raj Dullabh – Principal
