Stop Work Meetings – Wednesday, 31 May 2023
The NZEI, Te Riu Roa (early childhood and primary), and the Post Primary Teacher’s Union (colleges and high schools) have negotiated with the Ministry of Education to agree on a new three-year Collective Agreement for kaiako/teachers.
The Union has called for a Paid Union Meeting on Wednesday, 31st May 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, replacing the previous strike action for the same date.
Most of the kaiako/teachers at Conifer Grove School are NZEI members and have the right to attend the paid union meeting. This means there will not be enough adults to teach/supervise our ākonga/learners at school.
If possible, please arrange to collect your tamariki from school at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, 31st May. There will be 4 teachers on site to supervise any students that are unable to be collected..
To support us with our organisation, please let us know if you will collect your child/children at 12:30 on Wednesday 31st May by completing this google form or returning the permission slip tomorrow. Students who have not returned their permission slips will remain at school until 3:00 pm.
