Technology is invention by design – students learn practical skills as they develop models, products and systems. Adaptation, innovation, critical thinking and creativity are key parts of Technology.

Computers and Electronic devices are/may be used across all curriculum areas as a ‘tool’ to support the learning programmes.

As well as class studies in Technology all year 6-8 students have specialist technology, consisting of food technology, electronics and digital technologies. We have specialist teachers who work in specially equipped rooms to teach these subjects. Students attend these lessons in smaller groups (approximately half class size) to enable maximum participation, use of equipment and assistance.

There is a technology fee for year 6-8 students to cover costs of materials used.
